Central heating repairs
 Blueflame offers an on-demand repair service on all types of Gas, LPG and oil fired systems and appliances.
All Blueflame heating engineers are fully trained and have access to the latest diagnostic equipment to ensure your system is back up and running as soon as possible. They also carry in stock a large volume of spare parts and controls, if a specific part required is not held Blueflame engineers will ensure it is sourced and obtained as a matter of priority.
Larger repairs or remedial work can be undertaken by appointment where we are pleased to submit a quotation before we commence work
Central heating maintenance and servicing
 To ensure your gas appliances operate in the most efficient and safe way it is extremely important that you have them serviced each year. Blueflame undertakes servicing on all reputable and leading manufacture of gas fired appliances All Blueflame Service engineers are Gas Safe Register, CORGI and OFTEC members and fully qualified and receive continuous training to ensure that are kept up to date with the latest appliances and technology.
Blueflame offer a service reminder to ensure that your appliance never misses its annual visit, plus all regular service customers receive priority attention in the event of breakdown.
Central heating system power flushing
It is almost impossible to entirely prevent corrosion and the formation of sludge in central heating circuits, even in properly maintained systems. Any system that is more than a few years old will benefit from routine cleaning to remove sludge and scale.
Symptoms of a system that is likely to require power-flushing are: boiler noise, cold spots on radiators and general poor performance.Circulation problems caused by the build up of corrosion can normally be removed by thorough cleaning or power flushing. Blue Flame offers a professional power flushing service which is a process involving draining of the system and insertion of a powerful cleansing agent. The system is then allowed to circulate until satisfactory system performance is restored. The system is then flushed and refilled using a corrosion inhibitor to help prevent further problems. It should be noted that in the majority of cases power flushing will remove normal suspended sludge but may not remove a completely blocked pipe.
Blue Flame undertakes power-flushing when installing a new boiler and also offers the service as a preventative or remedial process for established or troublesome systems.
Central heating system design and installation
 Whether you are considering replacing an old worn out system or are having central heating for the first time, the installation of a new central heating system is major purchase and the key to its long term success is initially choosing a reputable installer.
The design of your system starts during the course of the survey where we carefully listen to your exact requirements. We then select the most appropriate appliances and components and build a specification which will be presented to you in writing in our detailed quotation. We will ensure the system we specify represents the best value and meets all Building regulations in terms of installation and energy efficiency. If you choose to accept our quotation we will plan the installation and agree a suitable date for the work to commence.
All of Blueflame engineers are directly employed staff - not subcontractors - and will treat both your self and your property with the respect deserved. During the course of the installation you will be visited by one of supervisors to ensure the work is being undertaken as per our specification All electrical work associated with the installation will be carried out by one of our electricians. Upon completion your system will be covered by a meaningful warranty and a full after sales service. You can then relax in the knowledge that your system has been expertly designed and installed.

Landlord Safety Inspections - Gas and Electrical
Blueflame offers combined safety inspections for gas and electric installations. The visit involves both a gas engineer and an electrician. This means less disruption to tenants and a reduction in cost to the landlord. All work is undertaken by Blueflame’s own qualified engineers - and regular service customers receive priority attention in the event of breakdown.
If you rent a property you will know you are legally obliged to have an annual gas safety inspection. This Health and Safety statute applies to all rented domestic dwellings. Here is an overview to areas within the statute that Blueflame Services can professionally assist :
General housing standards :
A property should be safe and healthy for occupiers, so responsibility should be taken to ensure that:
- the dwelling is capable of providing adequate heating, which ideally means controllable central heating and insulation, with the equipment in good repair
- electricity and gas supplies are in working order
- water heating equipment is in working order
Gas and electrical safety
Your landlord must ensure that:
- all gas appliances and installations are maintained in good order
- that gas boilers get an annual safety check and is carried out by someone who is registered with CORGI.
- keep a record of the safety checks, and issue it to you within 28 days of each annual check
The occupier is responsible for maintaining gas appliances which they own, or are entitled to take with them at the end of the letting.
